The former Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge, warned of the ‘legislative tsunami’ that will be triggered by Brexit, which he said is the ‘greatest challenge ever faced by our legislative processes’. Giving the annual Bingham Lecture, Lord Judge bemoaned the ‘torrent’ of legislation that is not properly scrutinised and suggested that some bills are ‘not much more than intended political propaganda’.
