Henny Beaumont is a graphic novelist, illustrator and political cartoonist. Her graphic memoir - Hole in the Heart - was selected in the top ten novels about motherhood, of all time, by Mumsnet. Her illustrations have been used in a number of publications including the Inking woman anthology, BBC, Counsel Magazine, The Morning Star and The Canary. Henny is a director, founder and animation judge of Hackney Shorts film festival and she was artist in residence for the Hay and Stoke Newington literary festivals in 2019.
Henny teaches Graphic Narrative memoir at the Better Health Centre in Hackney a charity that supports well-being and recovery from mental health ill-health. She is a Creative Tutor at Accumulate - charity empowering homeless people through creativity and she is an MA supervisor at Kingston Publishing MA. Henny has worked as a conference artist for a number of clients including a residency at Talentino - supporting disabled people in employment.
Henny is currently working on her second graphic novel about poetry, supported by an Arts Council Award. She was long listed for the Women Poets’ Prize.
