Description: Professor Leslie Thomas QC
As LAG moves into its 50th year, we are delighted to welcome Professor Leslie Thomas QC as our new patron. Leslie is a leading and respected voice on inquests, and has written and trained for LAG for many years, with his book, Inquests: a practitioner’s guide now in its third edition (co-authored with Adam Straw QC, Daniel Machover and Danny Friedman QC). He also co-authors the 'Inquests and inquiries: update' in Legal Action. He is a very popular trainer, understanding the importance of sharing his knowledge and skill. His online training course, ‘How to deal with the dark arts in the coroner’s court’, is scheduled for 6 December. He is a lifelong social justice champion who continues to speak up for those most in need.
LAG chair Dr Laura Janes said: ‘I am thrilled to welcome Leslie Thomas QC as LAG’s latest patron. Leslie is a long-standing friend, author and trainer for LAG, as well as a fearless advocate who tirelessly speaks truth to power.’
Leslie said: ‘I am just really honoured to be patron of LAG, which has consistently been at the forefront in providing progressive and first-class practical solutions, legal education and knowledge.’
