We are recruiting a Solicitor or Barrister with public law, regulatory and human rights experience with at least 3+ years PQE or equivalent.
We are open to considering applicants who have developed a public law specialism but are at an early stage in their career, or more senior lawyers who may have a following. The successful applicant will have strong public law experience in a range of areas that could include strategic policy challenges, regulatory issues, health and social care, education and Court of Protection. The applicant may also have experience of human rights damages claims including in respect of unlawful detention and/or representation in disciplinary proceedings, particularly in a political party context. The role is likely to include representing charities and NGOs, individuals and commercial businesses.
The post holder will have their own caseload and will co-work more complex cases with senior members of the team.
Experience of private law litigation against public authorities is a desirable criterion for both posts.
