Payments for assigned counsel
These figures apply to all cases with a representation order dated on or after 1 April 2016.
Subject to exception described in chapter 3
(1) The fees payable to Assigned Counsel for –
(a) representation in a magistrates’ court;
(b) representation in the High Court Family Court or a county court in proceedings prescribed as criminal proceedings under section 14(h) of the [Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012]; and
(c) representation in the High Court on an appeal by way of case stated.
(2) The fees payable to Assigned Counsel are subject to the limits specified in the table following this paragraph.
