Crime tender suspended
After the successful application for interim relief by the Criminal Law Solicitors Association (CLSA) and the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association (LCCSA) on 23 December 2014, the Legal Aid Agency announced the suspension of the criminal legal aid tender.
The full hearing on the case took place on 15 and 16 January. The Law Society brought a separate judicial review, which was joined to the CLSA and the LCCSA case. The society has also agreed £45,000 to assist in funding the CLSA and the LCCSA case.
