LAG has bid farewell to policy manager James Sandbach (pictured above). He left at the beginning of February to join the pro bono advice charity LawWorks, where he took up the position of director of policy and external affairs.
LawWorks chief executive Martin Barnes said he was ‘delighted’ to welcome James to what is a new role at the charity. Prior to his appointment at LAG, James worked for the Low Commission as its campaigns and research manager. He also worked for 10 years as a policy officer at Citizens Advice.
James commented that he was looking forward to ‘working with the charity’s staff, trustees, members and its many stakeholders. I have a longstanding passion for access to justice and a strong commitment to the values of pro bono and the contribution of volunteer lawyers, law students and law schools’.
Natalia Rymaszewska, chief executive of the London Legal Support Trust (LLST), will be moving on in March after five-and-a-half years with the charity. LLST is best known for organising the London Legal Walk, which this year is due to take place on 22 May (see inside back cover for more details).
