14.85Cases accepted by the LAA as very high cost cases (VHCC) (ie, cases in which a representation order was granted on or after 3 October 2011 and, if the case were to proceed to trial, would likely last more than 25 days (60 for advocates)) may be subject to individual case contracts. The rates will depend on the category of case (seriousness) and the level of fee earner (dependent on experience). Standard rates for each category and level of fee earner are set out in the Specification to the VHCC Standard Contract.
